This half term, in partnership with Learn Chess, we are running FREE chess sessions for young people aged 9-18 living in Maidstone, Ashford and Swale.

The sessions will be held at our Maidstone Wellbeing Centre and all game resources will be provided. This is a great opportunity to develop existing chess skills, overcome isolation in the holidays, meet like-minded people and ultimately improve wellbeing.

Sessions are taking place from 10-12 on Monday 12th, Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th February. Whilst some basic chess knowledge is required, all levels are welcome whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced player. The Learn Chess team will be on hand to facilitate the games and provide advice and suggestions to players. One of our own Wellbeing Coaches will also be available to provide any mental health signposting and identify further support.

Places must be booked in advanced and are allocated on a first come, first served basis. To ensure that as many people as possible are able to take part, you can only book a maximum of two sessions. To book your place, please email: with your name, your child’s name, which year group they are in and a contact phone number.

Delivered in Partnership with Learn Chess Academy.
