A little about us:

Mid Kent Mind was established in 1969 and is affiliated to ‘Mind’ – a leading mental health charity. We are dedicated to improving the lives of people who are experiencing mental health issues by providing well-respected, recovery-based community services, high quality information and advice. We actively promote positive wellbeing, providing support to individuals, carers and families through a wide range of diverse services.

The applicants we look for:

Mental Health affects everyone in different ways and we pride ourselves on seeking to attract a diverse range of applicants with a rich range of lived experience. We value the meaningful ways through which lived experience can inform our services, so we are particularly keen to hear from applicants who may have their own experience of mental health.

We believe passionately that services only work for people when they are shaped by people who understand what the service needs to do in order to enable someone to thrive – so lived experience across our team, combined with Service User Voice, is vital in shaping services which work.

We are also eager to hear from applicants from black and minority ethnic backgrounds who may be interested in the vacancies available at MKM.
