Mid Kent Mind was established in 1969 and is affiliated to ‘Mind’ – a leading mental health charity. We are dedicated to improving the lives of people who are experiencing mental health issues by providing well-respected, recovery-based community services, high quality information and advice. We actively promote positive wellbeing, providing support to individuals, carers and families through a wide range of diverse services.

Our current vacancies
We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager. Reporting to the CEO, you will scope and track new and existing funding markets across Kent. The successful candidate will understand commissioning and commissioning trends, write proposals and coordinate tender responses and explore how we can capitalise on existing work.
This role will also have understanding of the grant funding market and support grant fundraising across the organisation. The Business Development Manager will build and grow internal and external relationships in order to help the charity to grow revenues and increase delivery opportunities.
This role will be target focused with income generation at its core and will help us in achieving our strategic growth plan. The role will be managed by the CEO but will work collaboratively with the management team.

Location: Maidstone offices, blended remote working
Hours: Minimum 4 days a week, full time considered. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
Salary: £37,000 pro rata
Contract Type: Full time / part time / hybrid / job share will be entertained
Fixed term 1 year (possibility of extension subject to funding)
