The Youth Services which are offered my Maidstone and Mid-Kent Mind will see some changes during the COVID-19 Outbreak. We understand how important it is that young people have access to mental health support currently. Currently, young people are facing lots of stresses around exams, qualifications and time spent with their friends before they potentially leave school – so it is crucial that we support their wellbeing during this period.
Four main Youth Services will be available currently – with additional courses available for schools to access internally if they decide their young people would benefit from additional support.
Youth Recovery Action Plans
Youth Recovery Action Plans are designed to offer 1 To 1 Youth Support to young people who may benefit more from individual support instead of group-based activities.
The Recovery Action Plan (RAP) has been designed to allow individuals to take a holistic look at their life and identify areas where they can take action to help their wellbeing.
Digital CBC Courses
Managing Me is an example of one of our CBC courses which will be offered Digitally during this period.
Managing Me is a 6 week course specifically designed for young people aged 11-18 to learn how to cope with life. The course focus on dealing with stress, anxiety, depression and self-image.
Digital Youth Wellbeing Cafe
Our drop-in Youth Wellbeing Cafe will take on a Digital Chatroom format – providing young people with a moderated space to seek peer to peer support.
Support For Schools
We appreciate that now is going to be an incredibly difficult time for schools and students. Stress levels will be high, and young people may be struggling to cope with the disruption to their education. We have developed a series of funded programmes which we can offer to schools to support their young people digitally.
