Parental Resilience - Helping Parents Build Coping Strategies FREE Courses now available.

Mid Kent Mind are pleased to share that thanks to funding from our Reaching Communities Programme has made new dates for our Parental Resilience course available – enabling parents in the local area to develop their coping strategies and to build their resilience.

You can find an outline for this course below:

This three week course aims to support parents as they develop resilience and learn how to deal constructively with setbacks experienced in everyday life, such as:

– Self respect and respect to others.

– Dealing with transition.

– Becoming aware of others and how to empathise with them.

– Facing problems and setbacks and learning from them.

Parents attending this three week course will be taught cognitive behaviour techniques for reinforcement within the home, with the aims of  supporting families to live independently and to sustain a family unit.

The programme provides the tools to adapt well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress and how to “Bounce Back” from difficult experiences.

Participants will identify and learn about their protective factors which will help them to deal more effectively with stressful events and mitigate or eliminate risk in family units.

We currently have two dates for this course available in 2021. To book your space, please choose either date and complete the booking form below:
