We offer students who are studying towards their Level 4 Diploma and above in Counselling the chance to work face to face with our counselling clients at our Wellbeing Centre in Maidstone.
Our placements are an opportunity to gain your required hours whilst being part of our Affordable Counselling Service and providing counselling sessions to our adult clients.
Our criteria to make an application
- You have enrolled onto a counselling course and have already completed 140 hours group training hours, prior to starting your student counsellor placement.
- Approaching or within the 2nd year of your studies.
- You are due to complete a total of at least 380 group training hours over the course of your studies.
What we can offer you
- Once you are in your 2nd year you will be offered clients that are suited to your strengths and abilities.
- Supervision dependent on availability.
- Placement hours to fit around your availability – Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Tuesday evening until 8pm.
- Friendly and dedicated counselling team on hand for support.
- Full induction programme including training in GDPR, Safeguarding, Health and Safety.
