Everyday Mental Health. A condensed training session looking at mental health in the ‘here and now’.

FREE, one-hour training session designed to build your knowledge and your confidence.

‘Everyday Mental Health’ is a new, one-hour training session which focuses on stress, anxiety, self-care and the ways in which we can support others – providing a dedicated space and time where people can build their knowledge and also reflect on how the current climate may be having a detrimental impact on mental health.

Developed in partnership with the Kent & Medway ICS Suicide Prevention Programme Team, this new type of session aims to help people better understand their own mental health and wellbeing, and then how to apply that improved knowledge to the steps they can take to support others.

As a part of this session we will also explore the support services available across Kent & Medway – enabling people to better understand the support which is available to them within the communities in which we work.

The Objectives of this training session can be found below:

– Recognise the impact that negative stressors such as debt can have on a person’s mental health.

– Understand how to support your own mental health and wellbeing during the current financial crisis.

– Have the confidence to support someone else who may be struggling with poor mental health.

– Have a greater awareness of the range of services available in Kent & Medway that can support someone who is struggling with their mental health or experiencing financial difficulty.

Sessions are available free of charge – with a limited number of spaces available on each session.

We hope that by making each session just one hour long, we will ensure that there is greater accessibility for people who cannot find the time needed to attend one of our three-and-a-half hour sessions.

If you’re looking to learn more about stress, anxiety, self-care and the small steps you can take to support others, or just want a reminder of the key areas around these parts of mental health, then please feel free to book a space on this training via the booking form found below.
