Local Charities Day – 15th of December 2017

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

Local Charities Day is an exciting time for charities like MMK Mind, as it provides us with an opportunity to inform our audiences of the kind of work we do all year around through platforms which we may not usually get the opportunity to communicate through.

This year we have been lucky enough to work with an assortment of partners to inform people in the best manner possible.

We have worked with Fremlin Walk, a local shopping centre to our office in Maidstone, to produce a blog post which you can read here: local-charities-day

We have also been working hard with the communications department at DCMS (Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport) and will be sharing a guest blog through their blog soon – something which we are excited to share with you soon! UPDATE: You can read our guest blog post here: https://dcmsblog.uk/2017/12/localcharitiesday-maidstone-mid-kent-mind/

Lastly, we have also teamed up with our friends at Happiful again – developing an article about our biggest achievements of 2017 in conjunction with Local  Charities Day. UPDATE: Read our Happiful article here: https://happiful.com/local-charities-spotlight-maidstone-and-mid-kent-mind/

We are also excited to now be listed on Maidstone.co.uk as a local charity in the area.

To get involved, make sure to use the #LocalCharitiesDay to interact with different charities on Twitter. You can also visit the DCMS website to access blog posts from Local Charities in the buildup to the day – something which will give a lot of insight into the day-to-day operation of many charities across the country.

If you’d like to use Local Charities Day as a platform to make a donation or organise some fundraising, let us know and we will be more than happy to hear from you! There are organisations all across the country who work hard behind the scenes to support people – so let’s use today to show them our thanks.
