Maidstone and Mid-Kent Mind provide a rich Youth Mental Health Support Programme which is designed to be accessible for young people. Different courses tackle different problem areas, and aim to make positive changes. Courses aim to empower young people.
Managing Me – a 6 week course specifically designed for young people aged 11-18 to learn how to cope with life. The course focus on dealing with stress, anxiety, depression and self-image.
Taming My Temper – a 6 week course dealing with anger management specifically designed for young people aged 10-14 that may have issues controlling their emotions and want to reduce the levels of anger and hostility that they display.
Being Boosted – a 6 week course for young people aged 10-18 with low self-esteem and confidence to give them a boost and help them feel more comfortable with whom they are.
Bounce Back – a 6 week, youth emotional resilience course for ages 11-18. The course teaches young people how they can combat stress, deal with emotions and reduce anxiety so they can ‘bounce back’ from the challenges they face in life.
Balancing My Behaviour – a 5 week course that helps to improve young people’s behaviour, and their ability to reflect on their behaviour.
Standing Strong – a 6 week course that helps to support young girls with issues such as body image and also online safety.
Forward Thinking Females – a course designed to help young women aged 14-25 improve their overall Mental Health through wellbeing workshops and physical activities.
Managing Me – ASD – A 6 week course specifically designed for young people aged 11 – 16 on the Autistic Spectrum. Designed to help young people learn how to cope with life, with a focus on dealing with stress, anxiety, depression and also self image.
