Mid Kent Mind are delighted to provide a ‘Training & Wellbeing’ offering to local businesses, organisations, charities and companies who are keen to invest more in the mental health training and wellbeing support which they are able to offer to their staff.
This offering has adaptability at the heart of it – with our goal being to provide support which works for organisations of any size, with any need. We’ve combined some of our long-term offerings, like Mental Health Awareness and Mental Health First Aid training, with a new package of individual sessions and workshops designed to tackle specific areas where workplaces may want additional support.
You can find more details on the individual webpages linked below.
Mental Health First Aid Training (MHFA)
Mental Health First Aid is a nationally recognised course which helps to equip people with the tools and the knowledge they need to proactively support other people. Available in a variety of formats and in both adult and youth varieties, this training is ideal for organisations and individuals who would like to explore opportunities to earn a certification whilst boosting their confidence when it comes to supporting others.
Mental Health Awareness Training (MHA)
With one in four of us experiencing a mental health problem every year, our Mental Health Awareness training is designed to help broaden awareness about specific areas of mental health. Sessions usually last for around three hours and can cover different topics, including Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Eating Disorders and Psychosis.
Workplace Wellbeing Suite
Our workplace wellbeing suite is designed to provide modular, holistic approach to businesses and organisations by allowing them to choose from a variety of workshops and training sessions focused on specific areas. Options available include a training session on supporting mental health within the workplace for managers, an interactive workshop on Developing Communication and Active Listening Skills, and more.
Suicide Prevention & Awareness Training
Our Suicide Prevention & Awareness Training is fully-funded for individuals living in Kent and Medway – providing access to three-and-a-half hour sessions which look at the challenges facing both adults and young people. These sessions aim to raise awareness, increase confidence when it comes to supporting others, and also aim to highlight the support services available in Kent and Medway.
