Remote Counselling Sessions from MK Mind. Telehpone and Phone Counselling Sessions.


UPDATE: We now have a limited number of face-to-face counselling sessions available.

These sessions are conducted in a safe and COVID-secure manner, with large rooms used to ensure Social Distancing measures can be observed. Clients will also be asked to consent to a temperature test apon arrival at our building, and will need to complete some paperwork for track and trace purposes.

Whilst normal MK Mind services are disrupted due to the current COVID-19 outbreak, we will endeavour to offer alternative options for therapy and support wherever we can to ensure that individuals in need during this difficult time can still access help.

This change will be extended to our Low Cost Counselling service – which will now function in a remote capacity, with sessions provided by either the telephone or through a virtual medium like Skype. How the counselling will take place may depend on what your individual counsellor is most comfortable with – but the key aim here is to provide continuity of service throughout the coming months.


How will this work if I already access counselling with Mid Kent Mind?

If you already access Mid Kent Mind’s Low-Cost Counselling service, then our team should have already been in touch with you to discuss how your individual treatment may be affected by the current disruption. Wherever possible, we will make an effort to provide as little disruption as possible to your treatment – but our services during this period are heavily dependent on the counsellors who make our face-to-face services possible. 

If you have any concerns about continuity of your treatment, you are welcome to contact us at any time. We have a dedicated counselling team in place to handle the development of remote support, and ensure that our existing clients have the support which they need. For any clients who are continuing to access this support during this period, you will be charged £10 per session – as part of our effort to reduce costs to individuals and ensure that treatment remains accessible during this difficult time. 


How can I access remote counselling support with Mid Kent Mind?

If you are seeking additional support during this period of disruption, then our Remote Counselling Service would be able to work with you through a medium you are comfortable with. Our Remote Counselling team are BACP Registered – meaning you can access quality-assured counselling from professional members of staff. Our Counsellors are capable of working with a variety of different clients, and can implement a variety of different techniques, to help you get the most from your treatment.
