Digital MHFA Courses. Mid-Kent Mind are working hard to develop our capacity for offering digital MHFA.

One thing we find members of the public, and fellow professionals, asking for more than anything right now is Mental Health First Aid training.

Rightfully so, people want to know how they can proactively look after themselves and other people during periods of lockdown – and this includes looking after the mental health of both ourselves, and those who we find ourselves enduring lockdown with.

With this in mind, we have decided to work with our friends from Mental Health First Aid England to find ways in which we can deliver this training.

Half-Day Youth MHFA Training

We are pleased to share that we are able to offer the Half-Day Youth MHFA training as a Digital Course.

This introductory three hour session raises awareness of young people’s mental health. It covers:

  • Some of the common mental health issues affecting young people, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders and psychosis
  • Skills to work more effectively with young people living with mental health issues
  • Ways to support young people with a mental health issue and relate to their experiences

This training is usually valued at £75 per personbut thanks to the generous funding of the National Lottery, we are able to offer this training at a cost of just £20 per person.

It is our hope that this heavily reduced cost will make this training more accessible for people whilst they are at home.
