Faversham, Canterbury and Ashford Community Groups. Virtual and Face-to-Face Mental Health Support.

Our Canterbury, Ashford and Faversham Community Groups are funded by Live Well Kent, and they aim to provide a safe and readily-accessible space where people living in and around the Maidstone area can benefit from support with both their mental health and their wellbeing.

These services aim to encourage people to learn new skills or embrace activities which promote positive wellbeing. This means that we have a range of sessions – from more Traditional Social Groups, to an Arts & Crafts group – and even a Walking Group, too!

All clients looking to access these services must register with Live Well Kent for a 12-Week Programme. Please contact your Live Well Navigator for more details.

If you are not registered with Live Well, then you can register via the simple online referral form found here.

You can find full details on the services available for people in Canterbury, Ashford and Faversham Below. Face-to-Face groups are titled in purple, and Virtual Groups are titled in pink.

You can also access a full timetable of our Faversham, Canterbury and Ashford Live Well Groups through to March 2022 by clicking here. Please be aware that some dates may be affected due to Office Closures on Bank Holidays – but we will always endeavour to notify you when this is the case.

We will choose from a range of locations every week – but our walks will generally be focussed around the Faversham Town Walk History Trail, the Faversham Town Walk Gunpowder Trail, and also the Oare Gunpowder Works Country Park.

For more details on which walk we will be doing each week, you can either e-mail mindhelp@midkentmind.org.uk or can call 01622 692383.

Please note that sessions run for a full 12-week programme with no room for sessions to be moved – meaning that you may miss a session if it needs to be cancelled due to exceptional circumstances, or if the session falls on a Bank Holiday.

All sessions are available free-of-charge to people in Canterbury, Ashford and Faversham thanks to funding from Livewell Kent. To take part in this sessions, you must register to attend a full 12-week programme of sessions.
