Dynamic Duo Raise Over £10,000 For Local Mental Health Services

Recently, we were delighted to welcome Vanessa and Justin into our building in Maidstone after they completed the Brighton Marathon on behalf of our organisation. Combined with their prior fundraiser with friend Barry (Read more here), the dynamic duo has raised over £10,000 for Mid Kent Mind – a huge amount of money!

It was lovely having the opportunity to welcome the pair into the building and give them a tour of the space which their money helps to support. We were able to look at some of the artwork which our clients create in their Arts & Crafts sessions, were able to show them the Garage Extension which was added over the pandemic to provide more Counselling sessions for clients in need – and were able to introduce them to members of our team, including members of staff who work on the frontline services which we provide.

We enjoyed having an opportunity to really peek underneath the hood of the organisation to provide a lot more context around their fundraising journey and how it makes a real difference. It was also great having the chance to share some of our future plans with them – including how we are working hard to build partnerships within the community which shape the content of the services we deliver alongside their continued sustainability.

It was a pleasure to meet Vanessa and Justin again – and we are so thankful for the continued support which fundraisers like them have showed us throughout the pandemic and beyond, really helping to continue to make the work we do across the Mid Kent area possible.
