Mid Kent Mind Service Update – 24th of January 2022
The easing of restrictions around Coronavirus bring an update on the services which Mid Kent Mind are providing.
Whilst we are continuing to take a safety-first approach to the delivery of services, we believe that we can now resume some face-to-face support. Specific announcements on service returns will follow on a service-by-service basis, but we want to use this update to outline our basic protocols which will guide how we move forward.
Our key guidance moving forwards will be for clients to take the measures they feel necessary to keep themselves safe. We will be asking attendees to our building to wear face masks or visors in communal spaces (corridors, toilets, etc.) and will also leave it down to personal judgement whether you would prefer wearing these throughout your time with us.
We also ask clients to consider taking a Lateral Flow Test (LFT) before attending sessions. This is not mandatory, but MKM staff will be doing this to ensure we are keeping our visitors safe, so we encourage visitors to do the same where they can.
Social Distancing remains important and this will continue to be in place inside our building. By adhering to these shared guidelines, we hope to be able to keep staff, service users, visitors and volunteers safe and healthy.
We are conscious there has been some mixed messaging on face-to-face services. Please know we are working to resume services where possible – but different funders have different requirements they would like us to meet.
We will update you on each service as and when there is additional information to be shared – but we expect to continue hybrid delivery of both virtual and face-to-face services in some capacities.
We will endeavour to update you whenever changes occur. Please keep checking our website, and also our social media channels, for additional information. We appreciate your continued patience and look forward to welcoming you back to our building soon.
