This October, there will be changes to the services which Mid Kent Mind offer as we begin to adapt to new delivery standards which have been outset from Livewell for our courses moving forwards.
This transition means that groups will be split into 12 week ‘blocks’ – with the aim being for community groups to run a programme for this 12 week period, rather than being a continuous drop in service. This means that all of our current Livewell Clients will need to speak to their Navigators so that they can get referred into the new provisions which now include both our structured courses, and our social groups.
To ease this transition period, Mind will be personally funding the continuation of our current social groups until October 17th. The aim here is to provide service users with the chance to get referred into our new groups without any disruption – so we hope that by providing this grace period, we will be able to ensure that everyone who wants to continue accessing our support can do so.
Once these changes are in effect, our new Live Well Programme will look as follows:
We have some additional details on the days when you can access the initial 12-Week Programmes for October and November listed below. We will aim to keep this updated with more dates and information so you know exactly when sessions are running.
In addition to these Social Groups, we will continue to run our Coping with Life courses in both a face-to-face and virtual capacity across the Mid Kent area. We will also be starting a brand new Coping with Loss course in Maidstone, which will run as a face-to-face service from January of 2022.
There will be additional new services which will be brought online after this new service has been implemented, including:
- Personality Disorders Support Group for people living in Ashford, Faversham and Canterbury. Taking place on the third Thursday of each month starting November 18th. 10am session via ZOOM.
- Bi-Polar Support Group for people living in Maidstone on the second Thursday of each month starting the 11th of November. This will be a face-to-face session at our College Road site starting at 10am.
- Bi-Polar Support Group for people living in Ashford, Faverhsam and Canterbury on the Third Tuesday of each month starting the 16th of November. 10am session via ZOOM.
We will share new information on all of these services as soon as it is available.
We encourage you to contact your Livewell Kent navigator for any additional support which you need during this period. Livewell Navigators will be able to help ensure that this transition occurs smoothly – enabling you to continue to access support.
If you have any questions about Mind specific support, then you are also welcome to contact email@example.com.
We also know how difficult this change will be for some of our clients, so we do want to invite you to share feedback about this. You can either attend our Service User Forum, or can complete the below feedback form.
