Parental Mental Health Support In Swale - Part of the Early Help Provision in Swale  Monday 17th of September - Woodgrove Children’s Centre (ME10 1JS) - Courses aimed to support parents in Swale. One day courses to parents aim to; Develop resilience and learning to deal constructively with setbacks experienced in everyday life: - Self respect and respect to others; - Dealing with transition; - Become aware of others and empathise with them; - Face problems and setbacks and learn from them. Parents attending this one day course will be taught cognitive behaviour techniques for reinforcement within the home. It aims to support families to live independently and to sustain a family unit. The programme provides the tools to adapt well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress and how to “Bounce Back” from difficult experiences. Participants will identify and learn about their protective factors which will help them to deal more effectively with stressful events and mitigate or eliminate risk in family units.
