Youth WRAPs (Wellbeing & Resilience Action Plans)

A Personalised Plan to help you progress forwards.

Youth Wellbeing Resilience Action Plans are Mid Kent Mind’s personalised one-to-one wellbeing coaching sessions. These sessions aim to provide people with the opportunity to access support sessions that are built around their mental health. We also look at any problems or difficulties they may experience in everyday life.

Our Wellbeing workers will guide young people through these person-centred sessions in the hopes to empower them to identify areas where they may struggle and take proactive steps in those areas to boost both their confidence and their emotional resilience by developing more effective coping skills.

We won’t just work with them to address the problems they’re experiencing now – we’ll work with them to build their understanding and their knowledge, so they are better equipped to proactively manage life’s ups and down.

Some of the common areas explored during YWRAP Sessions can include:

  • Managing my wellbeing and anger
  • Physical Health and Self-Care
  • Living skills and responsibilities
  • Social Networks
  • Relationships
  • Identity and Self-Esteem
  • Aspirations
  • Challenging and/ or addictive behaviours

Whilst these are common areas addressed during these sessions, sessions will be individual to the young person participating in them.

In short – they are in control of the sessions they access, and the areas which they wish to cover.  Our ‘YWRAP’ programme lasts for six weeks – with each week consisting of a one-hour session with one of our Wellbeing Workers.

By the end of the six weeks, we hope to have helped young people to overcome adversities, and to have equipped them with the tools to confidently address the challenges they may face as they progress into adult life.

Our Youth Sessions are available for young people between the ages of 10 & 18. Whilst we sometimes have funding available to deliver these free of charge, these are also available to self fund at a total cost of £280
