Balancing My Behaviour – A Course For Young People
Balancing My Behaviour is 5-week course that helps improve young people’s behaviour and ability to reflect on their behaviour
Overall aims of the course are as follows:
* Learn how to change negative thoughts to positive thoughts
* Learn what social norms are and the impact of existing outside of these
* Learn how to create the steps to change
* Use creative techniques and games to increase self-esteem
A session by session guide to what we cover:
Session 1 – registration forms, get to know you games, an introduction to wellbeing and establishing ground rules for the group (and homework setting)
Session 2 – What is behaviour? Where do we get our social norms from and what is the impact of existing outside of social norms (and homework setting).
Session 3 – How does how we are feeling impact on our behaviour and how to change this (and homework setting).
Session 4 – Triggers for inappropriate behaviour and the steps to take to change this (and homework setting).
Session 5 – Recapping the learning, monitoring forms and certificate presentation.
