Mental health charity Maidstone and Mid-Kent Mind (MMKM) have appointed Nicole Griffiths as community development worker.

Nicole, 22, has been appointed to help build relationships with the community across Maidstone and throughout Kent, explaining the charity’s work to audiences including schools and businesses, and seeking funding opportunities.

Nicole studied at the University of Chester, where she gained a BA (Hons) degree in English Language, after leaving Mascalls Academy, Paddock Wood.

Says MMKM chief executive Julie Blackmore: “We have expanded rapidly over the past couple of years, largely to help the increasing number of local people struggling with mental health issues.

“Nicole will help us engage with outside organisations to explain how we work across the community, from supporting young people at school to adults struggling with loneliness and isolation.”
